How to specify that I want the app to support iPhone only and not iPad (so no Universal)

#1

Hello,
I need to create an app that is iPhone only, I’ve tried to set the UIDeviceFamily in the info.plist as suggested on slack but in the documentation Apple says it shouldn’t be set manually.

I’ve tried anyway but unfortunately it doesn’t work, when I open the generated project I still see Universal…any other idea on how to achieve this?

Thanks,
Dem

anyone? I think it’s a quite important thing…

IIRC, you can’t.

Every iPhone / iPod app runs on iPads, but on a smaller screen.

Hello,
thanks for your reply…

That’s not really my question though, I’m saying that the app is Universal by default so it will run fullscreen as it is an iPad app…

I don’t know the exact answer, but can you change that (the universal setting) on XCode?

If it changes some key on platform’s folder Info.plist, you could replicate the change on App_resources folder’s Info.plist so it is like that by default.
