Converters with different arguments(?) values(?) what do you call thems...?

Sorry for the vague title. I just wanted to clarify what is the meaning behind providing converters with different … I don’t know how you call those. Arguments? Values? etc…

In the documentation for converters ( sometimes they use it like this:
{{ name, name | converter }}

and some other time they use it like:
{{ name | converter }}

What is the difference between the two? Thanks.

Interesting question. It does seem odd. However in the docs it’s stated:

“Setting a converter function and a parameter within the bindingContext is very useful for ensuring proper conversion of data. However, this is not the case when listview items should be bound.”

Note, the initial conversions are done in TextFields, whereas in ListViews it seems you should not double-up with parameters. Funny stuff!
